The results this year show exceptionally strong levels of confidence in pupils’ happiness, safety, academic progress, and the overall quality of teaching and leadership. These findings reflect the strengths that define ISJ as a warm, high-quality British international school where children thrive both personally and academically.

Parents expressed very high levels of satisfaction across the areas most central to a child’s daily experience. All respondents reported that their child is happy at ISJ, feels safe, and is making good academic progress. The behaviour of pupils was rated as consistently strong, and every parent agreed that the school is effectively managed. These results provide a clear endorsement of the learning culture, pastoral care, and leadership that shape the school community.

The written feedback provided by families highlights several themes that consistently define ISJ’s identity and daily experience. Parents frequently praised the expertise and warmth of the teaching staff, noting the care, personal attention, and professionalism that underpin each child’s progress. Many families also described the school as warm and welcoming, with a strong sense of community that helps children feel settled from the very beginning.
The school environment was also recognised as a strength. Parents commented on the calm, orderly atmosphere, the positive relationships between pupils, and the supportive pastoral culture. The leafy campus, specialist facilities, and carefully designed learning spaces were seen as important contributors to the quality of daily school life.

ISJ remains committed to strengthening the quality of the school experience in ways that directly reflect what families value most. Upgrades to the library, outdoor play areas and gym are underway, and campus development will continue as part of an always ongoing improvement programme.
The school is also expanding its provision of sports, clubs and co-curricular activities. Recent additions include an enhanced weekday swimming programme, soon to be complemented by a Saturday football initiative and further specialist-led activities across a wider range of interests. It is important that pupils have access to high-quality opportunities in sport, music, the arts and other areas that enrich their time at school.
The school is also strengthening its communication and administrative processes, with ongoing work to ensure greater clarity, consistency and responsiveness across all areas.
Together, these developments are designed to build on the strengths highlighted in the survey and ensure that ISJ continues to provide a safe, happy and academically ambitious environment in which every child can thrive.
Each year, ISJ conducts this survey in the final quarter of the calendar year to help inform board and senior leadership planning for the year ahead. The feedback we receive plays an important role in shaping priorities, and we especially value parents’ willingness to highlight aspects of the school experience which can be strengthened.
